Modularised off-site bath room construction, when well executed, offers a number of advantages over traditional in-situ construction:
• Speed of delivery - the in-factory manufacture can be run concurrently with authority approvals / site early works; and the time spent on site can be dramatically reduced • Higher quality - The in-factory work can be managed more closely, ensuring a higher level of quality • Lower costs - The nature of the manufacturing process can offer significant cost savings. For example, fewer labour hours lost through mobilisation/setup; lower labour rates as skilled trades can be supplemented with semi-skilled factory labour |
